As the rise of online shopping continues to dominate the traditional brick-and-mortar shopping experience, Toronto’s most iconic shopping centers are being reimagined into urban hubs that span far beyond retail. The site will soon transform into a mixed-use, sustainable urban community with nearly 4400 new residential units, 270,000 square feet of retail space, 110,000 square feet of office space, and a connected, pedestrian-focused outdoor landscape.

As described by the North American Development Group, the masterminds behind the project, the Agincourt Mall is an exceptionally well-located urban high-density redevelopment opportunity. The property occupies 26 acres of prime retail and mixed-use land, located at the northwest corner of Sheppard Avenue and Kennedy Road, in the heart of the City of Toronto. They plan to create a mixed-use community which reflects trends of living, shopping and working in an urban landscape (NADG).

The renewal of the Agincourt Mall will become a catalyst in strengthening one of Scarborough’s most significant neighbourhoods. Creating new community infrastructure will make this area of Toronto more vibrant, more connected and better suited for tomorrow.
