A new high-density, mixed-use community is coming to 5000 Hwy 7, Markham. The Markville Mall redevelopment project, led by Cadillac Fairview Corporation, will bring 4,340 residential units, three new parks (plus additional privately owned public spaces), non-residential space for offices and retail, and a new parking structure. The building heights will range from 6 to 44 storeys tall along McCowan Road, Highway 7, and Bullock Dr.
The Markville Mall Redevelopment will be built in four phases. Phase one will include five towers and a park. Phase two will consist of two towers and another park. Phase three will include four mid-rise buildings, one tower, and two privately owned public spaces. The fourth and final phase will consist of four more towers and a park.
The central feature of the development will be the Markville Mall itself. With over 140 stores and services, this is a great opportunity for investors. Additionally, the Markville Mall is well-serviced by multiple public transportation options: Centennial GO Station, York Region Transit (YRT), and the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC).
