Commercial Property Spotlight: RioCan Hall

RioCan Hall, located at the intersection of John Street and Richmond Street West in Toronto, will soon transform into a place Canadians can shop, live and work.

There is a plan to redevelop RioCan Hall into two-tower mixed-use buildings, 42 and 37-storey containing a total of 613 living units. The new plans are set to include high-rise residential units, 227,326 square feet of retail space, seven floors of office space, a new theatre, and a daycare. There are plans to keep the heritage brick façade on the east side. Once the project is completed, it will encompass a total area of 856,484 square feet. Hariri Pontarini Architects are designing the new RioCan Hall.

The development has a walk score of 100, a transit score of 100, and a bike score of 98, making 126 John Street a prime Toronto location within the Entertainment District. Aside from what can be found within RioCan Hall, there is an endless supply of attractions, restaurants, and retail nearby.

The redevelopment is currently in the preconstruction phase, and an estimated completion date has yet to be set.
