Mississauga Waterfront To Transform Into Lakeview Village

The transformation of Mississauga’s waterfront has taken steps in the right direction, as the city hub will soon see some significant redevelopment. The city has evolved far past its preconceived reputation of being a bedroom community for Toronto. It has grown to become a significant producer of jobs, bringing in an annual gross domestic product of more than $60 billion.
Lakeview Village— a master-planned community that will provide housing, commercial opportunities and room for exponential growth. What was once occupied solely for industrial use will be reimagined into a space that all can enjoy. In a recent statement, Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie explains, “ We envisioned sustainable mixed-use communities, cultural amenities and vibrant communities with public art, parks and open spaces that bring people to the water and the water to the people. Economic and job-creating opportunities, the potential for innovation, and smart technology that would equip these communities to compete in the 21st century”.
