Mississauga YMCA Site To See Redevelopment By RGF

Mississauga's iconic downtown core will see yet another transformation, as RGF (Mississauga) Developments INC has acquired 4.5 acres worth of property at Burnhamthorpe Road West and Confederation Parkway. The real estate property investors seek significant redevelopment for $90 million lands that were once home to the cities YMCA building and its 182-space parking lot.
John A. D'Angelo, president of RGF (Mississauga) Developments Inc, told RENX, "They were sitting on a valuable asset and probably felt that it's better to crystallize the value of this strategic asset and take care of the future of the YMCA."
The redevelopment will take place over several phases and will potentially consist of a variety of mixed-use space. The YMCA's future is uncertain; however, incorporating it into future site plans will be considered.
