One-Of-A-Kind Toronto Gehry Project Underway

World-renowned architect, Frank Gehry, has brought his vision of a one-of-a-kind condominium project to life in downtown Toronto. The project will comprise two skyscrapers, with one of two being the tallest designed building by the visionary and an ode to his hometown. It will stand tall at the corner of King Street W. Two towers will be apart of this master-planned project and will house 2,000 condominium suites and 150,000 square feet of commercial space.
The mixed-use project will be headed by three developers, Westdale Properties, Great Gulf and Dream Unlimited, to turn the development into a city landmark.
Mitchell Cohen, Chief Operating Officer of Westdale Properties, stated, "This was a design that started almost seven years ago, and we've continued to make iterations. We're now at the final phase, which is going to the committee of adjustment. The refinements are simple in nature."
But that's not all. OCAD University will now call two floors of the east tower will home. This will be an extension of the university's familiar footprint within the city.
